Twist in Varanam Aayiram

If one notices the super duper hits of Gautham Menon for the movies Kaala Kaaka and Vettaiyadu Vilayadu, apart from both being cop stories and packed with power performance of the cast, there was another line of similarity - in both the movies, be it Jyothika of Kaaka Kaaka or Kamlini Mukherjee of Vettaiyadu Vilayadu, get killed.

This is used by Gautham Menon in his yet to be released Varanam Aayaram, the heroine (Sameera Reddy) is killed due to unfortunate circumstances of events. This is when the twist in the story arises with the arrival of Ramya into the scene. This shows that the director has a strong belief that the death of his heroines could bring his movies some luck as well as a huge fan-following for the Hero.

The movie with the renowned actors lets us know that Vaaranam Aayiram is likely to be the best of Gautham with some great music by Harris Jeyaraj and breath taking camera by Ratnavelu.

With big time expectations on this Surya-Gautham combination after Kaaka Kaaka, everyone hopes the same magic is interwined by Gautham and his excellent team of cast and crew. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and see if this proves to be yet another feather in Gautham’s cap.
